UPDATE 2: The more I look at Acer’s picture I realize that I am almost certain that font utilized is the same font used in Apple’s iconic “Think Different” campaign (Garamond). Irony at it’s best.

Things Apple won't do
Part two of my series of things Apple won’t do comes to us from Appleinsider. They claim that Apple is set to release the new retina-sporting iPad 3 coming in March. So far so good. Unfortunately, the article did not stop here, but instead suggested that in October Apple would release an “iPad 4” with “killer apps”.

While as a whole I have had no real issues dealing with TSA agents (over roughly 60 domestic flights in the past 24 months), it would still bring me great pleasure to see them forced to wear a uniform that better describes their authority.
At the end of the day, they aren’t cops, just screeners who can prevent you from boarding a plane.

LTE Nokia Windows Phones Coming Soon....
The Verge has scooped that the AT&T LTE infused Nokia Lumia 900 will be launching next week at CES.
There are only two points about this I find interesting at all:
The 900 is rumored to launch support the 1700mhz 3g band, likely as it was being built in the days of an AT&T/T-Mobile unification.
The phone is STILL running WVGA resolution.

Apple NOT to release $299 a6 iPad
According to a report from Digitimes today Apple is gearing up to release a cheaper iPad to compete directly with the Kindle Fire.
The report claims that such an iPad would be based internally on the a6, but feature the same panel on the iPad 2 allowing them to sell it for $299.
My predictions:

Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0
People who know me well know that I haven’t really had the most positive feelings about Android for the past few years.

This Tuesday the nearly 16 months of waiting will finally come to a conclusion. Cook and team will take the stage at 4 infinite loop (the auditorium is building 4) and announce how Apple will bring the iPhone into the future.

Digitimes reports:
[Apple] is adjusting the cost structure for iPad tablets in order to compete with an array of tablet PCs to be launched by rivals in the second half of 2011
Last I checked, Apple didn’t have any tablet rivals.
Zach Epstein more accurately reports that the cost savings measure is more likely to keep the device pricing inline with the inclusion of a high resolution...
iPhone 5 Case Design
In the past 4-6 months it seems the iPhone 5 rumors have exponentially grown to an unacceptably high rate. Ranging from mild iterations (iPhone 4s) to “tear-drop” designs, to iPod touch style thinness.
